Loved this one when I first heard it. It's even better live. Definitely has the STH vibe.101Walterton wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 2:52pmSTH vibe?Marky Dread wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 7:57amlaxman wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 5:22amA highlight from the Blackpool show. Lady Boston.

The choir were amazing. They sang to us in the bar after the show. I spoke to one of the guys and he said that was going to be their only appearance, so this was truly unique. It was brilliant when they suddenly appeared from behind the backdrop. I think there was a collective gasp from around the theatre.daredevil wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 10:43pmLoved this one when I first heard it. It's even better live. I agree this album is a slow burner and way better than the first.drowninghere wrote: ↑22 Dec 2018, 3:11pmThinking after a few listens that this album is very good - like the horns, some of the ska related vibe, the male choir and background vocals generally, and just a lot more variety and interesting things going on than the first
Some of the backing vocals have a Nick Cave vibe, which appeals greatly. A few days on from my last post about this and the disc hasn't left my player. Just an outstanding album, I think.drowninghere wrote: ↑22 Dec 2018, 3:11pmThinking after a few listens that this album is very good - like the horns, some of the ska related vibe, the male choir and background vocals generally, and just a lot more variety and interesting things going on than the first
Same here about the regular playing and agree with Marky’s grower comment (aren’t all the best albums growers, I remember London Calling being that for me). Really looking forward to seeing them again in April.Kory wrote: ↑22 Dec 2018, 5:56pmSome of the backing vocals have a Nick Cave vibe, which appeals greatly.
