They sounded pretty good on that mini tour just before this, then turned in this poor performance. Compare Hate and War from this gig with the version from Alright Now 4 years earlier. The fire had gone out.

I think he had his teeth fixed by then, so I guess it shouldn’t have been that difficult to understand what he was saying.
