I'm pretty sure the Mag 7 lyric never refers to the person being a supermarket employee.
I assumed they worked at the 7-11.
The song has strayed into absurdist territory by then.
Hey, have you ever worked at a 7-11? My friend could tell you stories that would match the end of that song.
I worked at an independently owned convenience store for the better part of the late 90s, and it was alternately incredibly boring or incredibly insane.

Yes, that was my finding too.

I remember I was at work the day after 9/11 and there was a minute's silence everywhere in the country no matter what you were doing. The silence started just as I was packing these frozen ready-made omelettes into a freezer. I had one of those moments where you reassess your life. I just stared at these omelettes thinking what the fuck are you doing with your life. My reverie was broken when some demented crone screeched over the silence, "Here mate, have you got any fucking Campbells Meatballs?"
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I have actually, and yes, I saw someone shit himself in the shop and shake it out of the leg of his trousers.
That's some good shit. :shifty:
It wasn't, Mark, I had to throw those trousers away.
Banned from the 7-11. Oh the shame.
Marky, maybe he was banned for just hanging out. (Apologies for inside joke).
I was very tempted to use that one. ;)
