Does anyone have any decent info on Joe's near involvement in Stephen Frear's 80s thriller – 'The Hit'
strike's me, this could've been the perfect 'way out' for Joe, just before the disastrous 'Cut The Crap'

Not too much really Hammy. I do remember the role was offered to Joe and Joe in turn suggested Tim Roth I think based on his role in Made in Britain.
