Here is a 40 song set based on the Westway polls. Pretty damned impeccable if you ask me.

Janie Jones
I'm So Bored
White Riot
Career Opportunities
Police & Thieves
Garageland

Safe European Home
Tommy Gun
Stay Free
All the Young Punks

London Calling
Rudie Can't Fail
Spanish Bombs
Clampdown
Wrong Em Boyo
Death or Glory
I'm Not Down
Train in Vain

Magnificent Seven
Something About England
Somebody Got Murdered
One More Time
Up In Heaven
Let's Go Crazy
The Call Up
Washington Bullets
Charlie Don't Surf
The Street Parade

Rock the Casbah
Straight to Hell
Ghetto Defendant
Inoculated City

Complete Control
White Man
Gates of the West
Capital Radio Two

Wild Cards:
I Fought the Law
Armageddon Time
Bankrobber
Sean Flynn
I can nearly get behind that but Groovy Times and Lost In the Supermarket have to be on there, surely. Maybe lose Wrong 'Em Boyo and Sean Flynn or Street Parade.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Agree this is really good. However, I'd like to see POMB, The Prisoner and Pressure Drop squeeze their way in there over the likes of Career Opps, The Call Up, Street Parade, Arm Time or Sean Flynn.

I think Armagideon Time has to be in there, one of the best reggae tracks they did. Agree The Prisoner and Pressure Drop are pretty worthy.

All three are in my list. I really like Hate & War and prefer it to ISBwtUSA.

Okay here's the White Riot Beaconsfield take with the siren from the single edit. Remixed. ;)

I did think of using the siren from the Angelic Upstarts/Sham 69/Cockney Rejects....no I stuck with The Clash.

Yeah, sounds great.
Cheers mate. Do you think I should use it in the comp or keep things more pure so to speak?

I'm unsure. Mick's count-in is great too.

That's one of my reasons for liking the single version I prefer the originality of the siren compared to the Ramones copy of 1234. The songs structure is already a steal from Blitzkrieg Bop.. Plus the lyrics to the single are way better.I

It's so tame in comparison though. Nicey nice.

Tamer but not so tame in '76/'77.

Good, a rather ordinary Clash track. I don't really like like Joe's Cod Jamaican accent on it either.
