Didn't go to the opening of the exhibition because he was getting a smart meter fitted!

I'm pretty sure Topper could have made it if he wanted but I think he likes to stay clear of social gatherings by the sound of it. Probably due to "temptation" issues.

Interesting he had a film crew following him, I wonder what that's all about?

And he twice solved the bongo jams/jazz mystery, definitely "jams"!

Agreed, I just found it a very funny comment.

The film crew comment was definitely interesting.

I sometimes skip the music in interviews like that, but the discussion between the two of them before the songs were played was great and hearing them in isolation that way made them seem even better than ever.

loved Topper's story about sitting in the tour bus in NY, listening to the final mix for the first time, going "Wow".

Nice little interview. He sounds well. Nothing too revelatory, but always good to hear him.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
