I always thought sandinista was punks equivalent to the Beatles White Album, a glorious mess including a rocking opener, a Testament of total whackyness(Revolution 9/mensforth Hill) and a weirdly soothing end(good night/sheperds delight)

While i grew up with all the Beatles discography i bought and sold 3 copies of sandinista before i began to see the light. So ist is definately a grower.

But can Someone enlighten me why it is Pauls Boutique against cyh? Hello nasty is the best hands down, and it even has its own remote control.
I like that album too, but I think we're definitely in the minority.
It’s ok. But the best? That’s fucking crazy.
I don't think the Beastie Boys haver ever put out an album that's less than good, but HN is like their 4th or 5th best album at least.
Exactly. And again, I like it.
The singles never did much for me except the Fatboy Slim Body Movin so I never have even really listened to it fully. Three MCs and One DJ is alright and MMM's scratching is cool, but not much interesting beyond that musically. Maybe I'm missing some great deep cuts though.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Fuck it, I never liked Intergalactic and it got SOOOOO much radio play at the time. That's why I never tried HN.

Been listening to XTC quite abit this week. Must admit i'm a novice having just been a early singles type of fan, but some of the music they make/made is wonderfully crafted
However, they should never have touched Watchtower :meh:
