EET WEEK motion
What say we bring it forward a month or so? I'd rather go mad in lockdown. Who's in charge?

It's quite easy to ignore stuff you don't like. I do it all the time.

Hello,
I'm sorry but the whole abbreviations/letters things bothers me. I will understand if your time is so valuable that the time it would take to type out the terms completely would cost you a lot of time/funds or if you're disabled and the effort required to express your ideas completely would be taxing - if this isn't the case, please type out terms so the unhip can understand. Please forgive me if this comes across as elitist or snotty.

The acronym ONNTSA stands for 'oh no, not this shit again'. It's a jokey acronym, one I believe I invented, so I was surprised Heston caught it. I used it as a benign joke - surely just as "EET Week" is. And though I've never actively participated in EET Week (as I've said, I don't really "get it"), I recognize it as a light, humourous - benign - distraction. I only posted my silly acronym in the spirit of mischievous levity (or so I felt). I absolutely meant no offense or consternation to yourself or any of the other fine members of this site. My sincere apologies if I have irked you or anyone else.

Re: EET WEEK motion
Strange, the EEt WEEK bitterness and sniping normally doesn't happen until the latter part of the week. 35th anniversary madness setting in?

Matey in. Next week sound good?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Also, we can do the listening party at a more reasonable time since I can drink in the middle of the day now if I want to. Just have to ignore my toddler for a bit.
