Hello,

I don't remember much of Cut the Crap - every other Clash album has been almost completely memorized - but I can recall "Law and order is a baton in the ribs...".
Every year when this comes round and the discussions start I have to check what all the song titles relate to, other than TIE and We Are The Clash ( which I hate) nothing will stick in the memory bank.
I really don't know how a song like Three Card Trick won't stick. Even as recorded it is better than at least 12 songs on Sandinista and nearly half of Combat Rock.
As soon as I hear the opening chord I know it but sitting here now that dong title means nothing
Dicktator
Are You Purple Head...y
Cool Under Meat
Three Inch Dick
Growers and Showers
Girthy Punk
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Interesting results. Dirty Punk is often mentioned as a favourable track but no votes. Are You Red...y gets a decent return.

That PTW hasn't received a vote yet means Flex hasn't checked in.

I like Dirty Punk more then most do, but I don’t think anyone would put it in their top 2-3.

Dirty Punk is crap.

I'm gonna be a dirty Punk, I'm gonna rock your neighbourhood.

Really? Why?

To the sound of rebel funk.

Yes very good Joe that rhymes.

Gonna get me a big big great big car and drive drive drive down your boulevard....

Can't get past that pure turd of a lyric. The tune isn't terrible but it doesn't, could never, compensate for those awful, un-Joe like lyrics.

I chose "Are You Red...y" but that's because you said "favorite," as opposed to best. I think North and South is a better song overall, but I like Red...y more.
Wow, I didn't know I had an Are You Red...y ally. The consensus on the song is usually very bad.
I’m also an Are You Red...Y ally. I’ve always liked the demo and while the finished product leaves a bit to be desired...still catchy. That said, the programmed drums are fucking terrible.

The programmed dums are crap the whole way through. But the only track where they do kind of work is "Are You Red..Y". That said the demo is miles better and live it was decent.

Yeah. I only really like the programmed drums on Red...y. I really love the Dope version.

If one of the electronic bands had released it as a single it could've worked. I hear someone like the Human League doing it like their track "The Lebanon" and getting a hit.
