We Are The Clash is just such a pathetic statement. When I first heard it, my initial reaction was "No, you're not!"
35 years later, my opinion has not changed.
Dirty Punk really annoys me too, because of what Strummer's talking about. And it's so clumsy.
Gonna be a dirty punk, while my brother dresses clean.
He used to be the local hunk. The girls all ride in my machine.
Really? This was one of the great lyricists of his time.
For fuck's sake.
But I can only vote for one so it's WATC.

Fingerpoppin’ is in the very short list of songs about sex done by the Clash. And they should never sing about sex because it’s repulsive when they do it. It’s the worst song with the name Clash attached to it by a fair margin. I despise it.

I quite like both but Slip especially. It's largely pointless but got a good funky beat. Oh and the "suuurrllllipp" is quite funny too.
