Re: Clash Film
Jez never actually wrote a script. Dexter Gordon? The Saxophonist? When my dad was young he used to manage him.
Re: Clash Film

Has anyone written a script?
What about that feeding frenzy we all heard about – wot, year or so ago?
'London Calling' film, etc
(don't tell me that 'London Town's' all that's come of it?!

Re: Clash Film
I hadn’t heard about Mr. Fletcher’s comments. I see now he said we’d have to wait ten years for it. The issue will always be that the group controls its publishing, and so it’s necessary to have their blessings to use their original songs. I vaguely recall reading about some unauthorized project using only songs they covered, as is done in an upcoming Bowie in ‘72 movie.
If by “London Calling” film you mean the proposed documentary Andrew Eaton was to produce, it’s my impression that Andrew and the director wanted more from Mick, who did sign off on the idea, but wasn’t necessarily up for major participation himself. That said, something else potentially cool is in the pipeline, but work on it has been slowed by the pandemic. That’s all I can say.
