It took a long time to get sorted out but Clash City Showdown is back in print after almost 15 years. For 19.77, even!

Just bought another copy. My original copy was lent to a friend who sadly died in a car crash. I didn't have the heart to ask his widow for it back. Been referring to the PDF you shared a while back for reference. It'll be nice to have another physical copy. Like an old friend returning. :approve:

Chris, this is pretty amazing to witness, as someone who corresponded with you when you contemplated Clash City Showdown as a fanzine -- I still have all that stuff when it existed in article form, including the cartoon spread that you did about your love of the band, and your encounters with them in Providence! I really enjoyed CCS when it came out, and I'm glad to see it back in print -- I'm putting it on my go-get list with a few other items (like Walter Lure's book). It's neat to see how things like that can come back to life, and find new life -- the farther the years go, the closer you circle back, it seems. (I should know.) Anyway, congratulations.

High praise indeed from the man I believe to be the definitive Clash chronicler, as well as a major influence on my work. Cheers, Ralph.

Any word yet on buying directly from you?

Thanks, Chris. Well, your book came from the grass roots, and the heart, which makes for the best projects.

I think I'd like to buy it straight from you, too -- I have a regular PayPal payday every Monday, so give me a week or two, and we can sort something out, I'm sure. So we may be doing that PM thing ourselves.

Picked up a copy of this on Amazon back in August, enjoyed it very much, thanks. Wish I'd known about the site when it was up.
