Going to attempt to decipher the lyrics to those early unreleased tracks.
"I Never Did It" / "I Don't Want Your Money"
I prefer The latter title as I think the first one should be "I Never Made It"
Taken from the version from the Roundhouse Sept 5, 1976
Seems to be a song about rejection from a rich girlfriend.
Looking in the mirror everyday
Through the meanest teeth decay
I could of been a million youths
For you to be a different girl
I feel sick at the restaurant
And I know it's good- bye
I wiped spaghetti from my mouth
As you paid the bill as you always do
I think I better take the cake
Go to the different meeting with him
I turn up there without you
Take the pain, yes I do
I used to lie at your daddies house
for months oh yeah
I asked for you to move to my slum
A thousand pounds a year, loud and clear
Another tenant takes a piss
What's the difference in the lift
I'll take West you take East
Then you say you can't feel
You think I need you
You think I want to
I don't want your money ( no, no)
I'm sick of you but I come down neat
But I look a cunt
When I have a bath I look my best
Then I say aaaahhhh
I never made It!

Deciphering the lyrics to the early unreleased tracks
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

Re: Deciphering the lyrics to the early unreleased tracks
Do we have a repository of the best versions of these? I had a comp but realized it just has "You know what I think about you (or whatever the hell it's called)" on it three times.

Well there's the 100 club gig I remastered a couple of months back. And the Roundhouse gig I'm working on which might get an upload tomorrow.
