2 new Italian books

Two Italian books that have just hit the shelves before Xmas.
First one is “Bologna 1980. The Clash concert in Piazza Maggiore the year Italy changed”, edited by Ferruccio Quercetti and Oderso Rubini is the detailed, collective chronicle of the madness surrounding that epochal event in an age when Italy was ravaged by political violence (a couple of months after the concert a bomb destroyed Bologna central station killing more than 80 innocent people) and Bologna was the cradle of Italian counterculture. It’s the concert the lads began without Topper lost on his way from France. Crazy times... I don’t know if it changed Italy, but it changed my life, for sure.
The second one is a limited edition book (100 copies) about The Clash magnus opus, written by Tony “face” Baciocchi, famed journalist, mod extraordinaire and drummer for the Not Moving, one of the best garage punk psych Italian bands who supported the Clash back in 1984. Full of informations and aware of the importance of that record in Italian culture (the Clash were huge in Italy in the early 80s).
Terrific read both if you understand italian...
