I also read an article where the interviewer went backstage and there was like 50 bottles of multivitamin pills that Bernie used to make them take. Something about how much they exerted on stage. Never made me realize the physiological aspects behind the Clash...

It’s more specifically about tantric sex.

And terrific drumming and backing vocals.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Honestly one of my favorite instrumentals on LC but the lyrics just don’t do it for me. It’s not that I necessarily disagree with it message wise. More so it just seems a little hamfisted and awkward. Idk. Other than that yeah London Calling is pretty much a flawless LP.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of those lyrics either.

I love the guitar fills, too.
Yeah, the lyrics are awkward, you can tell Strummer's not comfortable writing about sexuality. I can't think of another example he did beyond maybe Rabies From the Dogs of Love?
The Jam should have recorded an answer song called The Rhythm Method.

I always thought it was about using a condom and/or the pill until I joined these boards. Think I've read reviews where other listeners assume the same. Improved the message substantially, imho

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

I'm a fan of the tune too, some great mick guitar on it and ace work from topper too. It's not a great or even good lyric, but doesn't spoil it for me anyway.

I always thought it was about pleasing a woman orally?

I thought it was about making sure the album wasn't too amazing.
