When I first got the debut LP, I didn't know who was who on the cover. I kinda assumed Paul was the singer, Mick the guitarist and Joe the drummer.
I was saying recently that the photographer for the debut deserved a pulitzer for making Mick look like a street fighting tough.

I always wanted to see more outtakes from that session, but haven't found many:

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Very cool. I didn't realize how long of a session it was.

Yeah but 1978 was just around the corner.

Apparently Joe and Mick were fighting for who gets to wear the trench coat.

Paul still looks cool, but finding not cool Paul pics is quite a challenge. That suspenders with no shirt on (Topper on a motorcycle) session is a bit rough from 78.

I hated any of them in leather trousers. In fact I hate anyone in leather trousers unless it's the bloke from Ashford and Simpson.
