Marky has released lots and lots of great stuff over the years, but this definitely has to go down as some of his most vital work. It brings these sessions from a peripheral, historical curiosity to a vital album's worth of material in their own right. It's like getting a new Clash record. Highly recommend people spend the weekend with this remaster if they haven't already.

Couldn't agree more Flex

Thanks As Always Marky, for Sharing Your Work
Always Appreciated

I'm just happy to have been able to breathe some more life into these sessions. I really like them and it feels like a fly on the wall thing. What an incredible band they were.

when it was released I was really curious about The Vanilla Tapes but the sound quality was so poor. I think I listened to it a couple of times then forgot about it. But now.... A new Clash record! Great work, Marky Dread!

Finally got a chance to put these on, great work and thanks to Marky. Sorry if I missed this but where do some of the alternate takes come from? Are they the same source as Mona and the other warm up stuff?

The alt takes of "Rudie" and "Jazz" (acoustic) are brand new mixes I made from the takes already available. I'm clever.

The acoustic track was balanced as one track of the stereo mix. So I was able to double up the mono track and recreate a stereo balance. Like I said I'm clever and I look at every track I remix inside out. You never know what great stuff is hiding in plain sight so to speak.

It's cool stuff. I often wonder where I would be now if I had continued in the audio world after getting my degree. I had fun with it (except for doing live sound), It just wasn't paying the bills.
