Same reason I can’t get into Dylan. Some great songs interspersed throughout his discography. Some even greater lyrics but too often, the tune simply isn’t there.
Monotonous folk strumming simply isn’t my thing.
There’s also like a ton of shitty hair metal bands I absolutely adore despite the cornball lyrics. I must admit.
Nope.
Did I ruffle some feathers.
Not really.

Hot take:
Hard Luck Woman is a beautiful song and way better than Beth.

Some shit is runny, some shit is solid. Texture shouldn't distract from the fact both are shit.

Liquidy shit can’t get a KISS logo printed on it.

That's not a hot take it is absolute sense.

The hotter take is that Dirty Livin' is his best KISS song.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I quite like Parasite. That entire album is underrated. Dynasty is meh for me. Unmasked has some great pop songs on it.

Dynasty is probably my favourite KISS album. Maybe only Destroyer could run it close. Unmasked is just too pop for me. I do like She's So European and Talk To Me.

The band—sorry, the marketing and branding corporation—would deny this, or at least take it as a challenge.

We might have take this to the KISS thread. I'll do a "best Peter Criss KISS song" poll maybe. Then one for Ace and so on...

I'm a Gene man. His Beatles pastiches were great. But New York Groove was the first single I ever bought and it is a good hard rock album.

Never really listened to the Gene album.

This is the best Beatles pastiche I have ever heard.

I'd listen, but please replace WAC with Glue Zombie or something.
Heck yes. I imagine Joe would’ve cannibalized the verses for a better song with a good chorus.

Can we also assume Shouting Street might’ve made it on this? Or do it and the Permanent Record tracks end up on the next release?
I was thinking Shouting Street too. Did we ever have confirmation on when it was actually written?
Joe supposedly phoned up Paul and said he had a new song written sometime late 85” early 86”. So it was after CTC. I forget where I read that.
It was late 85, I remember reading it too.
I remember reading it in Spin and I thought it was a brief article.interview with him and Paul.

I know for a fact they still hung out with each other after the end of the clash. They used to sit in front of the fireplace together at Joe’s place and spin old 45s. Seems kind of bitersweet. Again I forget where I read this. Sorry.

You are on to something Ho' Combat Rock should had a 'party' side, led off by Radio Clash, and a 'cinematic' side lead off by STH; along the lines of what Kool & the Gang attempted with their Wild & Peaceful album or the Temptations achieved with their 'A Song for You' LP. Side 1: RC, Car Jamming, SISOSIG, Beautiful People, RTC, Overpowered (while unimpressive, works in this format) Side 2: STH, Atom Tan, Sean Flynn, Inoculated City (Rat Patrol), Ghetto Defendant & Ist Night Back; That's correct group thinkers 1st Night back to close it out over Death is a Star. Roughly 24-min per side. Long Time Jerk & Know Your Rights go undrafted
