Bronco Bowl Appreciation Thread

Post by KCportland »

Dallas, June 6th, '82 (aka D-Day in Dallas) has officially climbed to the top of my favorite Clash boots pile. And it's a Terry show! Crimes is fantastic on this one actually, he's positively sledge-hammering the skins and Mick's guitar has a particularly nasty snarl. Joe's guitar is pretty audible at times too and blends well with MJ's. There seems to be a pretty electric atmosphere at this gig, the boot just sounds hot and sweaty.

Absolutely blistering renditions of Somebody Got Murdered, KYR, Car Jamming, and Ghetto Defendant (why on earth did they not make GD a live staple???).

If it's not in your rotation I highly recommend! The boys always played good shows in Texas didn't they.

Agreed. That's a fun show even without Topper.
Ghetto defendant was played live for most Terry shows though. Fall '81 it started getting regularly played live

Bronco Bowl is fab -- I also rate Kent State and Troy as stomping Terry shows.
