Newcastle Mayfair 12th June 1980 (still the best gig I've ever been to)
Bridlington Spa 10th October 1981
Newcastle City Hall 14th July 1982
Also saw Joe fronting The Pogues at Newcastle City Hall December 1991 (iirc)
Gah, I would probably have been at the first three if I was born about four years earlier. A lot of my mates speak of the Mayfair gig, the bootleg is riotous. Was at the Strummer/Pogues gig, an excellent night.
I posted elsewhere on here about the bootleg as I've got a rough version but read on BlackMarketClash the master audience recording had been found and was much better but I dunno if it's that or a remaster from Marky Dread on here which I've downloaded and does seem better.
Anyway when searching through posts I came across your threads and I'm guessing you're the same Heston from RTG, mates of Sneech? Met you a couple of times at gigs, I'm Wackyjacky on RTG.

Yes mate! I haven't been on RTG for a while, I'll have to pop in and wind Sneech up.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
The Clash:

1984.02.27 Milano
1984.02.28 Milano
1984.09.04 Cava de’ Tirreni
Joe Strummer and the Latino Rockabilly War Band:
1988.09. Salerno

Be curious to know what kind of live show Topper delivered? Would have liked to have caught one but don't recall ever clocking them as a thing at the time.
Not greatly impressive. Almost all his album and few soul covers thrown in for good measure. i do not remember any clash song. I went to the press conference too, where topper with his shades on stayed perfectly still and silent...
