Yep, it was a fairly regular staple late 81 and 82. Had a listen to the mogador show mentioned last week, great show.lanini66 wrote: ↑12 Feb 2022, 8:40amDidn't they play it at the Lochem Festival?Marky Dread wrote: ↑29 Jan 2022, 5:08pmIt's on the Paris Mogador shows.appleseed1 wrote: ↑29 Jan 2022, 4:55pmThank goodness I logged in today! They did a killer Ghetto Defendant in Dallas in Summer 82 at the Bronco Bowl.appleseed1 wrote: ↑29 Jan 2022, 4:55pmThank goodness I logged in today! Thanks, Marky! I'm listening to this ASAP today. I don't think I've ever heard Ghetto Defendant live.

I really like Ghetto Defendant but I think they could've done it even better than what ended up on the album. Plus having Ginsberg on it is a downer. Not that I dislike his vocals but he is fucking horrible.
I was pretty disappointed, and still am with Ghetto Defendant, could have been and should have been much better, and Ginsburg was a pig, he ruins a mediocre song.

This GD absolutely smokes. Then again this entire show does.

Re: Asbury Park 1982
Yep, a good one. Some of the Terry Tour shows were brilliant if you ignore the Who support slots.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
Re: Asbury Park 1982
The Who shows were weird- they were playing at half-speed for the stadium crowds then would do a stop at some college and play at full strength. I guess they thought they'd come off too punk if they played too hard. Which is very 1982 thinking, really.
