They got some album chart action out of this, it's at no. 16 in UK.
Might have been 15 if I'd bought it.

Such a disappointing release.
Don't worry I bought 4.
Bit personal, but is side six etched or smooth?
Smooth as a baby's bottom. Shame at least an etching would've been more fetching.😉

The July issue of Mojo magazine has a small write-up of this, along with a picture!
Did screen shots and pasted it together. Picture separately.

Didn't Kris Needs write this?

He shouldn't be allowed to review Clash products. He's on the payroll.

I'm pretty sure it's Pat Gilbert. A more objective eye may have been better.

And I can't hear this "He Who Dares is an early version of Car Jamming" thing, they have totally different chord progressions and beats.

Oh yeah, you're right. Gilbert is still on the payroll though, shouldn't have been allowed near it. Kris Needs wrote this one: https://www.loudersound.com/reviews/the ... last-stand

"On triple vinyl!" to wrap up his review, wow.. that's bad editorial to allow that to get published.

Needs also mentions Clash On Broadway being released in 1999, which is eight years out.

Sad watching the hangers on. Kosmo was allowed off his leash and interviewed somewhere big recently. What a joke.

Edit: Actually thinking about it now, Gilbert writing that review for Mojo is worse than Needs doing it. Gilbert's become the in-house biographer for the last decade plus.

"He Who Dares is an early version of Car Jamming", I really think not, rather a basic track rehearsal for "Hitsville U.K."

Apart from making me tetchy, I'm retching when I hear there's no etching.

I think it's neither. It just seems to be a backing track for a new song which was discarded. It's the same rhythmically to Hitsville but totally different chords. And it was recorded at least a year after that song.

Yeah I doubt very much Mick would be reworking a Sandinista! track.

The article also refers to including a previously unreleased demo version of Sean Flynn, but it is the Sound System version?
