On "Shepherd's Delight" It's Mikey Dread using squeaky toys that have been manipulated with studio effects.
I'm still convinced there's some human voices in there amongst Mikey's toys.
Only Mikey at the break and Joe before the plane noise at the end. All the rest are squeaky toys. The question was about what sounded like cat sounds.

I'll take this opportunity to ask what Mikey says in the Crooked Beat.

Sounds like...

Waaaah!
It's the prayer, it's the plague
Noooooo!
It's the dub wise styleee!

Also his little bit at the start of One More Time. The last bit sounds like "unite and stop your killing and your fight...fight...fighting." Then he does another rap later in the song which is nearly indecipherable.
It's a bird? It's a plane?
No it's a dubwise stylee.

Superman reference.
Yeah it's obvious now!

Happy to be proved wrong mate. I always thought those caterwauls sounded human but on closer inspection, maybe not.

Brilliant. I always misheard "giggling" instead of "killing"!

Up in Heaven at minute 3:33 starts a strange part of violin and some metallic noises, someone knows if it has a meaning? Maybe with the text or what?

I answered this further up. It's the sound of a lift shaft.

The song is about living in tower blocks it covers the same subject as London's Burning in a way of viewing life from being so high up above the ground. With the planners who designed the blocks forgetting those who have to live there.

The metallic sound is that of the mechanism of the lift shaft grinding into action/motion. It's relevant.

Thank you Marky and sorry i didn't understand your preview explanation because of My approximative English. So the metallic sound is an elevator, coherent with the Song text, but about the violin do you now if it has referring to something? It has a particoular meaning?

No problem mate. I think the added distorted violin is just added to enhance the effect.. I also feel it's to sound as if the building itself is moving. As in the line "when the wind hits this building, this building it tilts".

No the wonky elevator bell on the 2004 anniversary edition was from Bloomingdale's.

Thanks again Marky, maybe is the right explanation about the strange violin
