New song from Simmo and Galen

Nice to see any ex-clash member making music but I doubt I'll listen to it again.

It's pleasant. I really like how he's learnt to use his voice.

I'm sure can hear a bit of Albarn's influence in there. Yeah, it's pleasant enough without pulling up any trees.

I can also hear that Inoculated City riff in there, though it's also in about ten other songs.

I definitely wouldn't care for it if it had been another artist, but there's enough Simonon affection which means I'll return to it. It reminds me of the stuff they used to play before the adverts on Sunday Brunch while Simon Rimmer did his best to not look bored.

I dig it! Really cool to hear Paul use his voice and the duet aspect really seems to work. Like a post-punk version of Nancy & Lee. The recording/production is waaaay better than the Havana 3 AM album!

Not bad by any means and like Hes said, always nice to see the guys still doing new things. I wish the harmonies were more interesting than octaves, but it's fine.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The actual tune would need to grow on me but I like the style of it and Simmos vocals are fine. Whets my appetite for more at least.

Seriously folks? If this wasn’t Simonon and you heard a duo playing it in your local pub you’d tell them to piss off. It’s utter rubbish.

No I wouldn’t, because I’m not a rude bitch.

Thought I'd try something:

ChatGPT wrote:If you didn't enjoy Paul Simonon's new music, you can still be respectful and polite. You could try to find something positive to say about the performance, such as complimenting his stage presence or the quality of the sound system. Alternatively, you could ask him about his creative process and what inspired him to write the new music, which may give you a better understanding of where he was coming from.

If you don't want to engage in a conversation about the new music, you could simply thank him for the opportunity to hear it and wish him the best of luck with his future projects. Remember that music is subjective and what you don't like may be enjoyed by others, so it's important to be respectful and considerate of the artist's efforts.
Well, there you have it.

I thought the same thing. Definitely giving off a Lee and Nancy vibe.
