Great find, downloaded them all just in case. I'm guessing this comes from Julien Temple?

Julien Temple footage I presume. All from the March 11, 1977 show except the last clip is from the New Years Day show? I'm guessing based on Joe's guitar.

But yeah, new to me. Don't see the Harlseden stuff listed on BMC. Very cool!
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

As these clips are from the Kinolibrary I expect the footage may be Don's.

This is Don't footage from that show right? Based on Mick's movements, I think it matches the performances. Unless he had multiple cameras (which I doubt), this would be someone else's footage. BMC said Temple "allegedly" filmed it. The Kino thing does match the previous Letts releases that you noted though. I wonder if I could match the New Years Day footage to the Temple stuff we have.

Yeah I think it is Julien's footage as it's black and white. Don filmed in colour on his super 8.

Strange they both have stuff on Kinolibrary. I also wonder how long the footage is. As all you get are short clips.

I also wonder if the footage is up because it's the anniversary of the debut this month.

The 30 second clips are frustrating. Good to know the stuff exists, but it's not like they are trying to sell the full footage right? Either sell it all or post the full thing!

I'm not really sure. I think the footage is for use to documentary makers and they find stuff in their archive for a fee.

Oooh that’s right. I remember this came up when the Don footage came out. Still frustrating but nice to confirm it exists.

Agree but what would be real nice to know is just how much film exist. Julien's archive is said to be hours long. But maybe it's not all been converted to a modern source. I'm sure these little clips are nothing more than temptation towards someone with a fat wallet.

What I found really frustrating with New Years Day 1977 was it was clear there are full songs to be heard. But you only got snippets of footage with the track running in the background and old news reel footage playing over the top. We're definitely missing some great early Clash rehearsals/live stuff for sure.

It's definitely Julien's footage. There are other videos published by Kinolibrary that have "Julien Temple" in the title, but these new ones don't have his name for some reason.
