The beginning of This Is England on the Out Of Control album is irritating, some rhythmical issue. Am I the only one? From 00:32 it's suddenly perfect again...
Are you that's the correct time it changes Gerald?
Just gave it another listen myself and yeah it just fixes itself at 32 secs
That's interesting as that timing runs way past the changes I made to the intro. I've just matched up the original and my mix and they are in sync.

The version on "Out of Control" was slowed down by 2.5% as I think the track runs too fast as I believe the whole album does. So it's most likely a case of what you are used to hearing.

Anyway here's the track put back to it's initial speed.

yeah nah, its still out of sync. What do you use to edit tracks, i know a few editers have problems with pitch shifting and falling out of sync

Other than slowing down the track as a whole I didn't alter any drum pattern. I used the Japanese cd to create the stems from. So I'm guessing it's in the master. I did alter the drum sound slightly to give it a bit more of a natural feel a bit less synthetic but the pattern was untouched. But hey if anyone wants to have a go at altering it feel free.

Who knows what their concert lineup would have been if there had been a tour after CTC.
I don't think they would have continued to always start their shows with London Calling and Safe European Home.
Maybe they would have started with Are you ready and Glue zombie and finished with We are the Clash, North and South and This is England.
P.s. Maybe the new songs would have been heard too, Shouting Street, Love Kills…

Hello Marky,

Thank you too much for this set. I'm going to begin listening to it this evening during my run - it looks like it's going to take me a few runs to listen to it all!

I've only listened to Out Of Control so far but it sounds absolutely fantastic with Joe's vocals clear and present. It shows how good his singing was on this album. Some new lyrical surprises as well. "She double-glazed herself away!" Absolutely fantastic.

Ps. I'm getting the same drum issues at the start of This Is England. It's like the snare is hitting on the wrong beat, then it rights itself. A minor quibble in the scheme of things, I'm thoroughly digging this.

Thanks again Mr. Dread. :approve:

Thank you. At first glance it is (as always) a complete overview of the period. The decline of a great band.

Hopefully Gerald won't find the start of this one irritating.

Sadly XRCF has been killed inside so can't help him now.

And Heston may just lose that minor quibble

Bloody musicians! 🤣

Cheers mate. I'm still not 100% sure how the first mix ended up out of sync. Other than I may have increased the length of the drum intro to match the guitars I had placed there. Still always good to get other opinions through fresh ears. 👍

I know I will echo all the comments already made, but thanks for this mighty effort Marky. I've played through the lot and thoroughly enjoyed it - I never thought I'd say that about this Clash era!
