I am proud enough of this remaster to share it, I think I was able to bring out the soundboard-iness of this recording. The original had too much treble and Mick's guitar sounded very thin. Enjoy!

great, thank you very much for sharing! but Mick's guitar is thin in this remaster too, sorry. this is for me the major problem. the most recordings, soundboars too, Mick's guitar goes "under", but it is the soul of The Clash. take Jamaica 1982, one of the most liked show, unbelievable, "no guitar", boring. take Bonds, every on likes the complete version 09.06.1981, but listen FM-Recording "Pier Pressure", this is live Clash, Mick's guitar is a hammer, as Rettel 1980.

I agree, it isn't fantastic, but there is only so much that we can do about it. I think in this particular case, it's because Mick kept his guitar relatively quiet, and the lack of stereo separation between his guitar and Joe's kinda makes them both blend at times. I've found that the majority of Mick's guitar sits around the 800-1,000 hertz range, but raising that too high makes the vocals clip quite badly, so I try to find a good balance.

Your work was great, I didn't want to question it at all. I just wanted to address a fundamental problem. You inspired me because you wrote that Mick's guitar would now come more to the fore. I don't think Mick was responsible for his guitar being lost in many recordings. It was often a victim of remastering and “official” soundboards. but again, thank you very much!

Cool thanks

I'd kinda equate this with the Wolfgangs vault version of the June 9 bonds show & the regular Milan version is the widely circulated version of June 9 bonds. If this makes sense lol

I think this makes sense, I like the WG Vault version more than the widely circulating one so maybe I am a little biased :approve:
