Superb. can't wait to get dug in. VOTD has been on rotation for a few weeks now. It's my favourite of the three. It's all about Derwood for me and he totally owns the whole album in my humble opinion. Thank you Marky.
Cheers Steve I'll send a cleaner 'round once you've finished listening. ;)

Haha, I had to wait until the board was back up for this new remaster. Thanks Marky (and thanks for leaving it up!)

Definitely coming to appreciate Generation X much more. Not that I had a negative opinion, but just really enjoying how much energy (and surprising range) they had.

The one thing I did remember from Billy's autobiography was his deep and broad👀 love of music. He lived and breathed it.

Thanks Marky, it's been a long wait while the board was down, but I'm more than sure it was worth it. Guess who's not got a "Eurovision semi" tonight?

If anyone hasn't grabbed this remaster yet, do it. The Sheffield live stuff is worth it alone. Great job Marky, I've listened to it all again today. I am so so looking forward to the Kiss Me Deadly SDE.

I don't suppose anyone besides Marky could do me a solid for the 1st Gen X album link?

We already have them come every other Tuesday. Which is more than I can manage.

I'm seriously looking forward to the last installment of Marky's Generation X remasters, Kiss Me Deady. There is a lot of great material that went unloved from that time, even from the early sessions with Derwood and Mark Laff in the band.

Did the record company see them as a dead duck before the album release and the efforts to get Dancing with Myself in the charts that didn't work out, at the time.

The Eel pie sessions hinted at a raw danceable Gen X sound and were the blueprint for Billy's solo career in America. Don't forget the guitar players on the sessions included Steve Jones, John McGeogh, Danny Kustow, Steve New. The record company should have made more of that in the hype before the album came out.

I still play the singles and album a lot. Especially the 4 track ep which included King Rocker. Marky's work on the previous 2 remasters are amazing, put together with craft and love. Let's see what the Dread vaults, uncover next.
