I'm seriously looking forward to the last installment of Marky's Generation X remasters, Kiss Me Deady. There is a lot of great material that went unloved from that time, even from the early sessions with Derwood and Mark Laff in the band.

Did the record company see them as a dead duck before the album release and the efforts to get Dancing with Myself in the charts that didn't work out, at the time.

The Eel pie sessions hinted at a raw danceable Gen X sound and were the blueprint for Billy's solo career in America. Don't forget the guitar players on the sessions included Steve Jones, John McGeogh, Danny Kustow, Steve New. The record company should have made more of that in the hype before the album came out.

I still play the singles and album a lot. Especially the 4 track ep which included King Rocker. Marky's work on the previous 2 remasters are amazing, put together with craft and love. Let's see what the Dread vaults, uncover next.
It's long been finished. Just wanted everyone to catch up due to the board going down. Will upload the KMD remaster next week.

I'm really looking forward to it, as I've enjoyed both the sets so far. Thanks again.

That's great news. Really looking forward to what you've achieved with the material recorded over these sessions. Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks so much, Marky! I'm anxious as there's dubs I haven't ever heard. I appreciate the time and effort that goes into your work - the weekend's listening is booked!
