Ha! Those are my pics. Thought I had an account on here as I read the forum regularly but clearly not. I took pictures of everything in there but just posted the Clash tapes. If there is any interest, I’ll post all the pictures here once it’s closed on the 14th. There’s lots of great stuff to be found there, and these pictures don’t really show that most things are not behind glass and you can interact with them, dig through the books, records and videos and play them and so on. Really cool to see if you’re in the area for the next couple of weeks.
I went on the opening day and will go back on the 11th before seeing Bob Mould across the street (I wonder if he will pop his head in before his gig?), but I have been enjoying reading the magazine that you can buy there (there’s three cover variants of course!). I’m sure you’ll be able to buy it online at some point along with future issues.

Sorry about the reflections on the glass, but lyrics for I’m so bored with you, plus London Calling info (slightly bigger picture of an earlier post).

King of Spades is obvs Card Cheat. Billy the Kid is Train in Vain? Or some other unknown song?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Would Train in Vain have been on the early mockup of the tracklisting? I was under the assumption that Billy the Kid would have been perhaps a full cover of Stagger Lee before it was attached to Wrong 'Em Boyo.

If I remember correctly, the Stagger Lee intro is exactly as The Rulers did it before going into Wrong Em. So maybe, but seems unlikely. I believe TIV was recorded at the end along with Armagideon Time which is also not mentioned here so *shrug*SuzukiSamurai wrote: ↑06 Mar 2025, 12:55amWould Train in Vain have been on the early mockup of the tracklisting? I will let you know once I have listened to the cassette. If only!

You are correct about the intro of WEBmatedog wrote: ↑06 Mar 2025, 2:29amIf I remember correctly, the Stagger Lee intro is exactly as The Rulers did it before going into Wrong Em. Fascinating then. Regardless, it doesn't seem like a longshot that they had a lot more covers recorded on these early tapes. I am extremely interested in the tape that lists both Revolution Rock and a Revolution Dub.
