Simmo in London

Surprised this hasn't already been posted. In all the darkness happening in the world this is joyous.

I saw that earlier this morning, it was a great way to start off my day given all the crap that's going on in the world.

That was outside the Royal Exchange pub near Paddington, which is hosting an exhibition of Ray Lowry cartoons throughout June.
That was the launch night, last thursday. I wondered if Simmo would show up, he has a studio in the area and I think has some sort of connection with the pub (one of its owners/backers, or something)

I missed out on seeing him, but had been along earlier to check out the exhibition - lots of what look like the standalone pen and ink cartoons Ray did for the NME, all nicely framed. They really are works of art, beautifully drawn. There was quite a crowd but it was a hot evening and everyone was stood outside, rather than checking out the art and the live DJ set indoors. I noticed a couple of guitars laid on a bench so knew some live music was on the cards, and also saw those two kids milling around, but had no idea they were the performers!

Great stuff, thanks for posting. Also checked out the StoH cover by the kids a couple of posts down which isn't half bad.

That could've happened but Simmo just didn't have enough songs.
