Not too rare. Certainly not rare enough to spend money on if you have an internet connection and a cd burner.

A bit funny, because I digitally watermarked those tracks for just such an occasion! Should be interesting to see whether, years from now, the same junk turns up in Eritrean market stalls.

Re: Bankrobber records....is this rare?
Hey Inder, did all of these end up getting released on the old board? When I took off last time, there were 11 floating around. Never ended up snagging Sex Mad War, Backwoods Drive & Three Card Trick. Is there a possibility of procuring these in some way? It's on the megalist. I just threw out the old link which had 11 of the 14 because it was not necessary. The final link with all 14 songs + artwork is up and has been up for awhile.threecoffins wrote:Hey Inder, did all of these end up getting released on the old board? Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Same spam that was posted on SNews last month.
Even BMC lists those releases as Internet-sourced only from this very board, so any fool who knew of those demos' existence from the usual go-to Clash sources both A) knows this is an MP3-sourced ripoff, and B) knows where to get the actual MP3's on the IMCT/Snews Megalists. I don't know who they're trying to market to, then...it's not like there's much market for proto-Clash II demos among anyone but diehards. Put pretty ballsily stupid of that scam label's proprietor to try to bait us anyway.

Re: Bankrobber records....is this rare?
For once I have to disagree with you Ratty. There are a lot of old Clash fans out there who will see the words Clash and unreleased and will buy it. I have loads of old mates all of whom loved the Clash and have bought a few 'greatest hits' packages to back up their old vinyl but arent 'fanatics' like some around hereRat Patrol wrote:sista wrote:Welcome to the BANKROBBER RECORDS special Promotion page for July 2008.
