It took forever as I couldn't read a page without LC and Vanilla on my Ipod and the original vinyl LP with lyric sheets to hand. A fantastic read and far and away the most enjoyable Clash (or in fact music book of any sort) I have read.
I soaked up the detail in LGIT and RLGIT however I have been listening to LC on heavy rotation since Xmas 1979, which is about 2/3 of my life ! Your book has explained many things and answered numerous questions, some of which I didn't know I had. If nothing else I now know the name of the face on the Bankrobber picture sleeve which has been bugging me for years (and was debated long and hard on here not too long ago).
Listening to LC now 31 years later is a new experience, thank you.

Is that a Buzzcocks reference? But true, I guess.

Wait a minute... The ref's checking the pitch-side monitor... And in an unprecedented move, VAR has demanded that the last two England goals be disallowed! 54 years later, we're now going into extra, extra time...Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Apr 2020, 3:59amThey're on the pitch ....they think it's all over...it is now.
Sadly the pitch-side monitor is not accessible to the ref. Too many families without TV's are crowded 'round and the ref can't get through. Both goals stand as those guys from Stockley Park are in the boozer next door celebrating.Marcus G wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 9:35amWait a minute... The ref's checking the pitch-side monitor...
