I've read somewhere that Topper crashed for few weeks in Louis flat in Paris. They tried to put something together but at one point Louis had to fire Tops because of some bad habits...

Sorry I forgot the link
Awesome. What year was this? He sounds great even if he was probably deep in his addictions at this point.
Probably 87
Or 88
Any idea how long he played with them?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Louis repeatedly warned him about leaving his toenail clippings on the settee, but Tops just wouldn't listen

Ok guys, it's french time. Sorry, it's a bit ego trip in here.
It was in 2008, and a dream comes true. It's Romolo on stage (the guy in a grey suit). One of the best moment in my life...

Few month
But you know Top was deep in his demons and bad habits at the time
and believe me, Louis Bertignac wasn't the last one at the time to get into dope.

Oh yeah Bboy, we ended up the night at Jeo' s flat, we drank and smoked a lot, took a cab together and I puked on the door's cab while he was driving . You invited me for a last drink at your place but I declined. I was wasted and you were still in great shape you bastard !What a night. And if I remember, well you took a picture of Mick holding a CD of Bazarsonik, your band at the time. Great band by the way !

Indeed i was still in a great shape
yeah i got one or two pics of Mick holding the bazarsonik cd but it was another guy who took the pictures
i told Mick that before the gig i tried to reach the organizer of the evening for my band to open for them but unfortunatly it didn't happened and he said kindly "may be next time, may be next time"
I also told him that i was the guy who did the liberty valance remix (i knew he heard about it) and in first he looked at me... and in a second he said "oh yeah great man great stuff blablabla" and he tried to get Tony to tell him that ‘i was the guy’ Tony James was behind him on the stage but tony didn't give a damn... bastard

And the next day, the all band took the Eurostar back to London. I used to work there, we talked a bit about the night before and they remembered me as " the stage invader". I was so proud. We took a picture but I lost it. Too BAD!
