It's time we passed like strangers in the night.
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...

I think this was from an issue in No. 1 magazine circa 1979.

Ive seen a couple variations of these in Smash Hits and Music Week and I still cant determine if the design's a deliberate lo-fi/punk approach, or just amateur. But then that sums up Cut The Crap.

I had read of the Clash marketing clothing the Paul had helped design but this is the first time I've actually seen the ad, thanks for sharing it.YoungParisians wrote: ↑08 Jul 2021, 6:41pmI think this was from an issue in No. 1 magazine circa 1979.

Mainline was a shop in my home town. I bought a pair of second hand 'clash Jeans' off a mate who had become a Mod. Only time I ever remember wearing then was to see The Clash in 1980 Hey I've never never said I was at the cutting edge of fashionYoungParisians wrote: ↑08 Jul 2021, 6:41pmI think this was from an issue in No. 1 magazine circa 1979.

I think I like that poster?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
