Speaking of LitS, heard Ben Folds' version of it the other week. I'm sure you've all heard it but it was new on me, loved the musical arrangement of it. Hate, and with a fucking passion, hate his voice, ruins it.

sorry BT, but i am absolutely not clicking on a ben folds cover of LiTS.

Not unless he's just arranging it for a william shatner interpretation, anyways.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

I don't like the over-emphasised American vocal at all, music is ok.

Why did Paul sing Guns of Brixton live in the manner he did? The studio version has this great quiet menace but he's like a bull in a china shop on the live version. Could never wrap my head around it.

I mean he's yelling it when he performs it live as opposed to the more subdued delivery on record. It could be anything from adrenaline to monitor mix.

Also, isn't it annoying how he always sang "how you gonna go"?

Yeah, the rhyme is important.

I thought the way he sang "gun" like "gone" if "gone" was pronounced like "bone" was ingenious.

Agreed..Always find myself skipping 'Guns Of Brixton' when listening to bootlegs
Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

Armagideon Time has evolved in my mind over time from "s'ok" to "yeah, not bad that" to "that's pretty good actually" to its final stage, now, of "that is fucking essential and top 10 material."
