Spotify shows the total plays of songs on albums now. Not sure if this is US listens or worldwide and I don't know the time frame, but here's what I'm seeing now:

Most popular song on S/T - Police and Thieves
Least popular song on S/T - 48 Hours

Most popular on GEER - Tommy Gun
Least popular- Cheapskates

Most popular song on London Calling - London Calling
Least popular - Four Horsemen

Most popular song on S! - Mag 7
Least popular - Silicone on Sapphire

Most popular song on Combat Rock - Should I stay
Least popular song - Death is a Star

Most popular on CTC - This is England
Least popular - Life is Wild (just barely beating Fingerpoppin', unfortunately)
Surprised 48 Hours was the least popular, I'd have thought it to be "Remote Control". I love the line in that song "Monday is coming like a jail on wheels". Always thought about that song on Sunday afternoons, dreading having to start the work week on Monday.
Remote Control is great! A proper song with twists and turns and fantastic lead from Mick. Cheat and 48 Hours are my least favourites on the album though I still like them.

Agree with a lot all of this, 48 Hours is ok but 2nd worst to Cheat. Cheapskates is the weakest on one of the best albums ever. Four Horsemen is again my 2nd weakest, Lover's Rock coming first. Silicone, well, fair enough. Death is a Star is crap though SISOSIG is dull and overplayed but get why it's the most popular. CTC, yeah fair enough again.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike it, I think everything on the first album is top notch, I just prefer 48 hours over it. I do agree Cheat isn't the best of.

Yep no bad tracks on that ST album for me. "Cheat" has that fantastic flanger guitar sound. Pick a favourite sure but don't pick a "worst" track as there isn't one.

I'm a big fan of Remote Control, but I think qualify of songs aside, Remote Control probably gets more plays online due to being featured on compilations, essentials playlists etc.

Agreed, I’ve seen that one come up on a few Spotify playlists whereas I don’t think I’ve ever seen 48 Hours on any.

Probably why SISOSIG has almost 3x as many plays as their next most listened-to song (LC). No doubt it’s a very popular song (it’s literally the only Clash song most of my friends know and maybe RTC), but it’s also the one I see featured on all of Spotify’s 80s playlists. So it’s probably not people seeking it out as much as listening to those compilations.

Agreed on RC. I'm a lot more surprised that Mensforth Hill or Career Opportunities didn't take lowest on S!

Those two are at least pleasant. SOS is a bit of a cacophony.

His aversion to cacophony is also wrong.
