Best bit about the piece is how it touches on the reality that the only way such an exercise could be genuinely interesting to the hardcore fan would be by putting S! No.1 ahead of London Calling.

So I was driving around today listening to the best of Pat Benatar (at heart I’m a 55 year old mom) and honestly, the backing tracks on those mid-80s songs like “Invincible” and “Sex As a Weapon” sound shockingly like how Cut the Crap’s backing tracks might have sounded with a competent engineer/mixer.

Not saying that as either praise or blame. Just an observation.

Where is Black Market Clash in that list? For me that is #2, regardless of how it was put together that 10" album totally kicks ass.
