It certainly does a convincing imitation of a lazy 15 year old's report.

Would you characterize Paul's singing voice as raspy? I wouldn't anyway, unlike Joe's. In fact, at least 80% of that would be equally, if not more, applicable to Joe. Bronze star for effort.

Had to check out its capabilities for work to see if it could speed up response time - it's dull as shit and while often wrong, rarely in a way that's interesting.

Absolutely not the correct descriptor, it must have scraped descriptions of Strummer's voice. The only amusing idea was his taking the lead on 'Look Here.'

When I had incidences of it being used last year in student submissions, it was just glaringly obvious. Not just because it ignored the structure of the assignment, the content was just a collection of words loosely connected to the subject … but also any number of subjects. Which isn't to say it won't improve, but right now it stands out clearly against even the laziest nonsense efforts by a human.

Trying to sonically conceive that and failing miserably. Not sure there's a single note in it that Paul, bless 'im, could get within 3 octaves of.

In summary, Paul Simonon's vocals are an integral part of The Clash's sonic identity. His raspy and emotive singing style contributed to the band's raw energy and rebellious attitude, making his occasional lead vocal performances stand out in the band's catalog.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

A post nuclear collision of awesomeness. That people will still be discussing 43 years later if they survived.

It didn't think it existed. Had no record of it at all.

So "Stop the World" is our sanctuary city from Skynet?

But they nailed the limited range part!

Yeah can't argue that, though i would say Paul's singing on the album with Galen is commendable in my book, he has made quite a lot of the limited range he was blessed with. Come to think of it, that would describe quite a few of my favourite artists, from Leonard Cohen to Richard Thompson to Ry Cooder. I think they all have limited ranges as vocalists but make it work, spectacularly so in the case of Cohen, I would say.
