Of all the Clash fade outs, I wish I could hear Stay Free right to the end of the take. It sounds like really interesting shit is happening just as it ends. Micks lead is great and there's this weird little acoustic guitar riff which never appears in the song til then.
Never noticed that random little acoustic thing at the end. Almost sseems like a mistake.
Yes it does seems totally random. I just wish the jam had gone on a little longer.
I suppose it probably all fell to pieces shortly after the fade, which necessitated the fade. Ouroboros.
Possibly. That's exactly why I want to hear it.

Never sounded random to me. Classic, more like. Keith/Stones, or Beatles touch. Or even Ronno.

Sounds like a Ronno or Keith thing to my ears also.

Yes, a guitarist/arranger’s touch.

Damn Pittsburgh 82 is f*****g good, actually its pretty perfect, great setlist (how often do you get car jamming, pressure drop and one more time in the same gig)
Great audience, practically orgasmic

If terry played like that every show i’d never slag him off.

Love what he does in the breakdown section of safe European home, almost jazzy

Can’t believe its the same guy as the shea stadium cymbal grab

I’m trying to track down a wierd dirgey cover of Mag 7 I heard on portugese radio years ago , female singer

Shea was horrific but there are many excellent performances on the Terry Tour. Troy and Kent state stand out.

Care to put that to a poll? They're all the rage these days.

Hello,

We need a KISS poll but to become an eligible voter you must: a) have consumed a six-pack of Arrogant Bastard Ale within the last 4 hours; and b) cast your vote between the hours of 10:00 pm and 2:00 am on a Saturday night local time. This would make the outcome more unpredictable yet valid.

This is quite possibly my favourite live Clash footage. Did it get any better than this?

Yeah great stuff. Though its probably on par with the Paris footage. Plus i would have to say the Elizabethan Rooms Manchester is fucking ace but its hard to compare different eras. Those early beaconsfield promos are i incredible for a band starting out.

Wasnt this the footage that was up on YouTube from a couple of years back where the guy was hoping to get enough votes/cash to put up the majority of the whole show?

I remember that. Don’t think it was ever posted.

I think the footage is especially good because the vantage point makes you feel like you are in the heart of the crowd. The Elizabethan Manchester footage is still my personal favorite but not by a huge margin.
