I think we can all agree James is a terrible person.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

Yes, yes whatever. What we all want to know is does he have dreams about The Clash.Flex wrote:I think we can all agree James is a terrible person.
Me personally I never dream about The Clash I'm too busy dreaming about JB. Also Wolt falling of his unicorn in laughter at Hoy.

Yeah, that kind of blows my mind. I was still a youthful college student who didn't drink/smoke to health-damaging excess.
Must be really weird for the lifer Clash fans when they realize they bought the London Calling LP before they had kids and now their kids are in college.

Not too different from my first post back in 06 - showing up, telling everyone that they were full of shit and that I held the ultimate truth. Don't get me wrong, I feel the same way now, just on a more macro level.Silent Majority wrote:Leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth, showing up, lecturing better informed strangers, blinkered thinking, and then literally doing some finger wagging. Hardly graceful behaviour.
Little James back in '08 needs some humility and needs to do some thinking outside of ideas he's being sold. He needs to see the more you know the more you realise how little you understand.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

One of my first posts was to reply to a 300 word rant by CK with the words, "stupid cunt." To be fair, I was drunk.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

No, no! It's woken back up! Our well-laid plans to propel the Clashy thread into the all-time lead are being snatched away!
