I don't like the way everyone dies at the end. We had to do a big report on this movie in Creative Writing class last semester....I should dig it up...

Bit odd, tho, for a film so dedicated to violence to have anything vaguely approaching a happy ending, no?

True. I'm in the same boat as you, I love that film to death, which I can't say for the rest of QT's output (though it's all enjoyable to varying degrees).
I hate Resevoir Dogs in the same way as I hate Fight Club.
I think both films romanticize violence and encourage a lack of morality. Pure stupidity. Thier a bunch of macho bollocks. I'll admit Fight Club has more of a point and message to get across than RD does, but when it comes down to it thier both the fucking same.

Buscemi's character survives (maybe).
Jackie Brown might actually be my favorite Tarantino flick, but I'm sot sure he's done one that I've actually disliked.

I work with a woman named Jackie Brown, no shittin. She's awesome too.
I'm in the love RD camp.

Senseless violence for its own sake I like (ie. RD). Its when senseless violence is is delivered under the guise of righteousness or 'message' making that it becomes deplorable.

Um, I think you missed the point of Fight Club by some 160 to 180 degrees.

Seriously, thanks for giving me a chuckle guys. My life took a turn for the shit today (and this past two weeks in particular) and this is some kind of relief.
Buscemi's character gets busted outside if you listen close enough after he leaves.
I love Tarantino because he gives Sammy some stellar hair:

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
