Yeah, that's what was missing in the U.S. version.

This is what I remember.
Also, I think the cover art for the singles is slightly different (better). Didn't Tripper post something about the differences in '06?

I think the Japanese version also included mini replicas of the sticker inserts from the later (Combat Rock) singles (!)

Might be just as rare in Japan as in the States, but the Japanese version of the s/t vinyl was a Pearl Habour edition. Cool artwork, but usually sells for $50 US or so.

An OBI strip makes anything look cool though - so just get a clash record with an OBI strip on it.

Yes, the Japanese release was of the US version (July '79), not the UK version (April '77).

Japan has some great Clash and Joe unofficial cds and lps.
Recently I have seen online the Shibuya 1982 2 lp, San Bernadino 1983 7" single, and Joe live in Osaka 2001. Really high prices though.

The artwork on this is awesome. Wish is limited to a little more than 10 copies.

I haven't really been on buying many cd's over the past 5-6 years, but the mini-lp's look pretty cool. It looks like the London Calling box set has pretty much everything



I'm going to have my girlfriend keep an eye out for this and the singles box set. I heard that Tokyo is really expensive, so I will have to see if it's worth the asking price.

This is off topic, but one of the local radio stations here in Seattle was playing the Clash/Joe Strummer all day today. Some called in the morning to request Police On My Back and they just ran with it. The decided to declare it International Clash Day. It was a nice surprise and helped the work day go by fast.

BR1GADE, thanks for posting the image of the pearl habour '79 vinyl with the promo single. The cd version you've got looks good too. Didn't realize they are making new cd players so the small disc won't fit in the trays anymore.

years ago,i bought japanese import of 7 inch London Calling,different picture sleeve to uk,its the album cover in 7 ins.i thought wen the 7 ins box set came out they would release what was released in that country.not all as uk release.
