Here is a review from a Swedish newspaper, they thought it was great. The headline says, "Everything works for the "new" Clash".
And it was a great concert but at the same time it was strange seeing The Clash without both Mick and Topper.

Sure enough, there's Joe in 84 with a guitar. I don't think I had seen a photo/video of him in 84/85 with a guitar/prop.

What a coincidence, this morning I was looking trough an old box in the garage, one of my daughters was interested in some old art stuff I had (brushes, charcoals etc) and found a collection of old ticket stubs including this one, front row of course.

Joe played guitar for about half the show the two times I saw them. Nick mixed his guitar up on Dope, especially on Pouring Rain.

Five Alive sounds like an audience recording to me, and I've never heard the Paris show. Is it comparable in quality to the Five Alive bootleg?

I totally agree about the difference between good rips instead of the horrible, lifeless-sounding mp3-sourced garbage that is making the rounds on the Interwebz, but as I have a copy of the vinyl boot (got my original copy when it came out) and have listened to it a lot ever since, I'm fairly positive that this was another source. To my ears the difference was huge. I can try to contact the YT poster and see if I get a reply. It's strange that the videos were taken down, they were just the audio with some stills.

For the Five Alive bootleg, I agree. I hope I can dig up some more info on this, and will definitely let you know if I do. It would also be very interesting to see if the guy who did the original recording can be tracked down, if he still has the tapes, they could most likely be remastered with very good results.
