That is great and I will never have the energy to explain it to anyone.

Oh, dear. Mick did say the collaborative track came out nicely, and had praise for Mystery Jets and Willow Robinson. He doesn't eat meat or drink alcohol these days, so that dessert with Don must've been a highlight for him. He was under the impression was it had been suggested to him as a private affair. He was not thrilled when it turned out they were selling public tickets, and expensive ones at that, and felt uncomfortable doing press (thus as the article pointed out, he wasn't doing any there). He also told the people behind the event that it wasn't a "festival." It's hard to make a bit of a living and still keep ones moral standards up these days.

Mick must surely earn a living from the number of times snippets of 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' are played at the T20 cricket?

I' m glad he's off the booze.

A few London acoustic shows a year where he plays his favourite songs from his whole career shouldn't worry his conscious.

I've heard it said - possibly by Teddy - that Mick doesn't like playing acoustic(ally).

That is grim reading. I'm usually the first to stick up for Mick but that goes against everything that rock and roll stands for.

“Who’s covering Krug Island?” I piped up hopefully at the offices where I have been interning, knowing that if anyone from the magazine was being sent, it definitely wasn’t going to be the lowly intern. One young fellow’s eyes met with mine ‘we’ve been hosted by Krug in the past...’ he said defensively before trailing off. I slump back to my desk and spent the rest of the day pondering how I could get an invite to the festival. As I am a quite strong-willed individual, I initially believed I could make it happen. But several emails and Google searches later, I was stumped. Unless I blew the remainder of my dwindling savings on tickets, there was no way I was getting on that island. Fast-forward two days later, and I’m sitting outside the Camden Head in, well, Camden. Clutching but not drinking the most disgusting real ale in the world, (I did beg the bartender to take it back, ‘please can I swap it for something else? It’s terrible! That was my last fiver! I’m an intern - I’m skipping meals and hopping tube stiles!’ I pleaded, but no joy.)
Or, in short.
I'm very entitled.
