Please speak up, Mick...
Just watched the appalling party politcal broadcast in which Boris Johnson (desperately trying to show himself to be the 'ordinary guy') declares his love for The Clash. How dare he?
Please speak up and tell him he needs to fuck off, Mick. (Weller did this with Cameron, I seem to remember.)
(If Mick doesn't come here, will Teddy please pass the message on?)

I would imagine Mick is the type to believe in freedom of choice. You can't really tell people what they should and shouldn't like, as much as it appalls me to hear he is a fan.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.

Whereas, Mick would just be telling the murdering bastards to fuck off. (Or a least making it clear that love: (a) is not reciprocated; and (b) seems very misguided?

I'm old and not as quick as I used to be. Smart-arsery is a young prick's game.

Re: Please speak up, Mick...
Mick is a very strong supporter of Labour. He is very invested in the defeat of (the unelected) Boris Johnson and the Tories, and has commented before about Boris’s claim of Clash love. He doubts that Boris even knows any specific Clash music. He has also lamented that Boris is smart and an effective candidate, but is still hopeful about the coming election bringing him defeat.
