When you need a job done properly

Post by NoMoreHugh »

I am really disappointed that the Live BAD (Original Band Only) album never materialised.
Then it occurred to me that no one has taken on a well Quality Controlled BAD Live Project and created one themselves considering the Band couldn't get there act together and deliver.

I am thinking of all those great studio Live TV version out there on youtube and rip them to a MP3 and make a album out of that. It would also make good discussion point of what should be included and why and of course what order would make the most exciting recording this would be original Bad so no Bad reunion or Bad II. Ideally it would be great if we could get the original source sound files rather than the youtube compressed rips

Just from the top of my head I can think of a few suggestions but would really like to hear other peoples views this thread was inspired by the brilliant esquerita version that appeared recently

to start the ball rolling

Medicine show (the tube , OGWT)
Battle of old saints road (wired)
E=mc2 (tube , uk freedom,OGWT)
Baby don't apologise (big world café)
Stone Thames (night network)
Esquerita (Thank you Heston)

It would be best if quality of sound overruled quality of song even if it meant it was only a small number of tracks on the album. Also as this is a best quality sounded album the radio recordings would be welcomed too especially the Bradford one.

Best Medicine Show ever was from Eurotube in 1986.

I like the meltdown as its like a true audience presence and adds to the atmosphere, some of the tube vids i dont feel are the true bad fans even though the recordings are the best. What i would really dream of is if radio 1 was to release the full concert of the Bradford recording like they have done with other bands live on the BBC, now that would be the pinnacle and make the best live BAD album
