Shit, I love that intro you've added. I've just fallen in love with BAD all over again. Great comp.

Interesting use of the album version of V13, most people seem to prefer the single version. I much prefer this version myself, it has a quaintness I love.

It's the version known as the "Big V Vocal Version". This version is on the japanese CD. The UK/US CD contains the single remix.
The "Big V Vocal Version" is far superior in my opinion. Plus I've remastered all 20 tracks.

The only track really missing for me is "Free" which I adore. But obviously it's on the movie soundtrack not the run of 4 albums. What a fantastic band.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 6:06pmYour list is damn close to what mine would be, notably almost exact from the third and fourth albums. The songs from the first are more obviously the right ones. For Upping St. I would choose Hollywood Blvd. over Limbo but I get it. The others are perfect.

Yeah, but isn't it just the same as the original vinyl version of V13? I'm pretty sure it is. "The Big V" was the instrumental version of V13.Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:08pmIt's the version known as the "Big V Vocal Version". This version is on the japanese CD. I'd noticed the remastering, fantastic. The bite of the guitars in Esquerita is remarkable. And a sterling job on the rest.

The original vinyl album had the (Big V Vocal Version) - 4.54. Then when it was released on CD in the UK/US they put the (Single Remix) - 4 41 on it. They also changed the version of Hollywood Boulevard from the vinyl to CD edition.Heston wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:31pmBut what is the length of the original album mix?Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:28pmThanks regards the remastering.Heston wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:17pmYeah, but isn't it just the same as the original vinyl version of V13? The Japanese CD sticks to the original UK vinyl track listing. So you get the "He's plastered" sample etc on "Hollywood Boulevard".

So that's exactly what I was saying, isn't the original vinyl version identical to "Big V Vocal version" that you've used?Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:38pmThe original vinyl album had the (Big V Vocal Version) - 4.54. Yes I see when you said vinyl I was thinking you meant the 7" single. So yes you're correct the version I've used is the original vinyl album version aka "Big V Vocal Version". The best version!!!!Heston wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:46pmSo that's exactly what I was saying, isn't the original vinyl version identical to "Big V Vocal version" that you've used?Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 8:38pmThe original vinyl album had the (Big V Vocal Version) - 4.54. Thank you Marky for another amazing selection.
Nice fade on Around the Girl and in to Limbo The Law.
Around the Girl In 80 Ways would have been a brilliant single in the UK.

Just one more thing, the Megatop tracks sound really punchy.
Union Jack and Rewind sounded great pumped up.
It was quite exciting back when the album was originally released, to hear Mick playing noisey guitar again, especially on Union, Jack. Cheers Marky.
