Nice one! Very deep cut orientated, even more so than Welcome to Badrock City, scooping up unreleased tracks and rare B Sides. It’s a bit startling to see The Globe left off, but as Marky says, this is his curated listening.
I like The Globe musically and the samples but that lyric is plain awful.

This bit.

Axes spins so round and round we go
Where we're goin' no one really knows
Here we here we here we here we go

How about “it’s hotter than a microwave”! What do you want from an Irish rapper? 🙄

That's up there with "deadly as a vulture" in the unintentionally hilarious scheme of things.

You lucky, lucky bastard. In case you can't tell what it's supposed to be, it's Tom Hanks and Dan Ackroyd, "City of Crime," from the movie Dragnet.

Ah, the golden age of movies whose plots were recapped by a rap at the end.

It's a reminder that, once upon a time, the entertainment industry thought, like rock n roll pre-1965, hip hop was a silly fad to be simultaneously exploited and dismissed/denigrated.

Not that modern day middle aged white people are much better at it now, but my god the level of unfunny, badly delivered rap songs made by 40 year comedians and ad creatives from about 1987-91 was astonishing.

Hello,

Rodney Dangerfield was one of the funniest comedians ever - ever. This, however, was a low point:

In the year of our Lord 2021, there is a vibrant, eclectic and fantastic Irish rap scene. God Knows is a good place to start.
