Megatop Phoenix remaster

Post by Marky Dread »

Here's Megatop Phoenix given a remaster.

A very underrated and under valued album.

Sounds great, thank you as always Marky. Really seems to bring out some of the instruments. Just a shame you didn't remaster those white socks.

I tried Extra Power Clash Intensified...but it just wouldn't wash.😉

Ha ha, appreciate your efforts, I hope you aren't soft soaping me.

I haven't played the original CD for a while to compare but this really does sound great. Anything starting with a sample from A Matter of Life and Death is already a winner for me.

Neat! This was the BAD record where I started to stray from the fold. The peanut-to-poop ratio was trending in the wrong direction for me. So I'm hopeful you'll help me reassess more charitably.

It's a consideration thing that this record is aimed at the rock/dance audience steering way more heavily too the latter. There's some clever work at play here. But if it's not your bag then that's completely understandable.

The only issue I ever really had with Megatop was the song lengths. Lots of choruses repeating too many times at the end of the song. But it hangs together very well as an album. I will check this out soon, cheers Marky.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Megatop as an album is a masterpiece
Surely not the taste of everybody because it very acid house oriented but it s the third time that our Mick reinvent himself.

Hello,

Thank you too much for this! This isn't my favorite phase of BAD but I enjoy it none-the-less.
